Amazon releases Cloud Drive + Cloud Player

The concept of storing your digital belongings in the cloud is not a new concept, but at 5GB for free (and $1 per GB thereafter) it really can’t be beat. Clearly targeting those who want access to their music in the cloud, Amazon has also released the Cloud Player which allows you to stream your library from any computer or Android device. The biggest perk here is that you don’t have to waste storage on your phone’s SD card on music (you may even be able to store more music than the SD card would allow).

FYI – Amazon is currently offering 20GB of space for 1 year with the purchase of any digital album. I received my upgrade for the low low price of $0.69 with the purchase of the Glee – Season Two album – I’ve never even seen an episode of Glee but I’ve got some extra space.
